Yes. This is the right way to solve this.


The A10 has media rights contracts with ESPN, CBS Sports Net, and NBC Sports Net through 2020. They are up for renegotiation next year.

Those matchups you list would be compelling games. UVA has played VCU, LaSalle, and George Washington on the road recently as part of the deal to secure the two recent ACC men's basketball tournament appearances at Barclays. We can do it again. And the other matchups you list can to. ESPN would probably be more interested in renewing the A10 agreement they have if the ACC does this.

Madison Square Garden is off limits, but this can be done. The A10 did it once, and they would probably do it again.
